Yes. EPIRB annual testing is performed in accordance with IMO MSC.1/Circ.1039 (shore-based maintenance) covering beacon body and HRU inspection, battery validity, 406 MHz self-test and transmission checks, GPS encoding and beacon ID verification, with certification issued on completion.
